About

Built for the director, not the institution.

boardiqo helps aspiring and sitting directors demonstrate decision-grade readiness through scenario-based assessment, evidence-led insight and nomination-quality reporting. Every existing instrument in board evaluation serves an institution: the board, the company, the search firm. boardiqo was built for the person in the chair, or aiming for it, who wants to know, with evidence, how ready they are.

Why the evidence cap

A good answer is not proof. Committees know it. Assessments pretended otherwise.

Judgment assessments reward articulate candidates. Nomination committees do not; they ask for the minutes. boardiqo's central design decision is to score judgment and evidence separately, and to let evidence cap the score. The result is an assessment that behaves like a committee: it listens, then it asks what you can show.

Principles

Truthful scoring

A score can only be as high as its evidence. Headroom is shown, never awarded.

Human review where it matters

Automation scores rubrics. A person decides on red flags, and the decision is written into the report.

The individual owns the result

Results are never disclosed to boards, search firms or employers. Sharing is the director's act, and it is logged.

Provenance

Competencies and failure patterns are grounded in a documented corpus of board failures and governance codes, referenced in every report.

Two languages, one standard

English and French are produced natively, not translated. A francophone chair should never sense that an English version existed.

Honest limits

The assessment does not predict appointment, replace a board evaluation or score on keywords. It says so, in the methodology and in every report.

Provenance

Where the framework comes from

The twelve competencies and ten failure patterns were derived from a documented case corpus of board failures and from governance codes in France, the United Kingdom and international practice. The corpus and code references are listed in the methodology appendix of each report.
